- First of all, you are required to Log In to QuickBooks Desktop
- Once done, Click on the Company tab in the menu
- Select the Export Company File to QuickBooks Online destination
- Also, Log in to your QuickBooks Online
- Choose the report or data you wish to import
- Select the company from the drop-down list
- You can also choose the Create New Online Company option
- Click on the Continue button to proceed further
- Hit the OK, Got It button to confirm
Once this import gets completed, you will be notified. It will not take days of operation. In just a short interval of time, this switch from one version to another can be completed.
Note: If you have been using advanced features or inventory, you may have to reconsider the switch. We recommended starting fresh from a scratch as some of your data will not be converted.
