Sales Prices on Barcode Labels

In addition to the item name and the barcode, printed barcode labels can now include the selling price of goods. You may choose to pick the price in the same way as when you choose the Item Description option (to be printed on the barcode label). Select the File from the QuickBooks Enterprise menu bar to access this feature, then select Print Types, and then select Labels.

Feature Availability

The Barcode Price Labels feature is only available for QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2021 Platinum and Diamond subscription customers at the time of initial release.

Improved Alternative Vendor Reports

As part of QuickBooks Enterprise v20, the Alternative Vendor feature was released in 2020 to dramatically boost inventory-centered companies’ ability to make better buying decisions and increase profitability. To provide alternative vendor details, some users of the Alternate Vendor feature indicated that they wanted enhancements to different standard inventory reports.

By including the Alternate Vendor column, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2021 enhances these different reports by simply clicking the Show Alternate Vendor column choice using standard report customization methods. Alternate Vendors can be conveniently added to either the 2021 Inventory Stock Status by item or Inventory Valuation summary reports.

These enhanced Alternative Vendor reports are only scheduled for QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 21.0 Platinum and Diamond subscription customers at the time of their initial release. During 2020, Alternate Vendors were rolled out to both the United States and Canada, and this upgrade for 2021 is similarly being announced.

Data Level Permissions

When it comes to customer and/or vendor information for some Business customers, QuickBooks Enterprise Administrators expressed the need for enhanced security because there was no way to control access to the records associated with any customer or vendor.

New for 2021, Data Level Permissions can be used by QuickBooks Enterprise v21 Platinum and Diamond Subscribers to provide more granular security for accessing, modifying, or removing individual customer or vendor records and related data by only those approved users.

Mandatory Serial/Lot Number Tracking option

QuickBooks Enterprise Advanced Inventory has provided you with the ability to track serial or lot number inventory in previous versions. But now you have the option of setting up mandatory serial or lot number monitoring for some transactions as of Release 8 of QuickBooks Enterprise v20. If you want to make serial/lot number tracking mandatory, before you can continue, QuickBooks will now ask for the correct data, helping your inventory remain organized.

This feature is available at the time of initial release on September 8, 2020, only for QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise v21 Platinum and Diamond subscription customers.

Enhancements to Landed Costs

The Landed Costs function automates the process of enabling users to add to their actual item costs the costs of shipping, freight, taxes, import duties, insurance, and other miscellaneous costs in order to give them greater insight into the true cost of the product.

QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 21.0 provides users with more power and versatility about how landing costs are measured and exchanged.
You can now choose either a type of Other Current Assets account to use the Landed Cost feature (as originally released in v20) or choose a type of Cost of Goods Sold account (new for 2021).

The Advanced Inventory Landed Cost feature is scheduled for QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2021 Platinum and Diamond subscription clients only at the time of initial release.

Batch Delete for Sales Orders

As part of an upgrade to QuickBooks Enterprise v20, several features first discovered as part of the 2021 QuickBooks Enterprise v21 ‘latest edition’ were released as a slipstream. You can find this particular feature in the Accountant version of QuickBooks Enterprise because it requires considerable professional judgment during use.

This feature enables accountants users to batch delete unrelated sales orders for invoices, checks, and bills in a manner similar to batch delete.
