Deposit window, double-check the following<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The correct account has been chosen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Statement Start Date corresponds to the start date of your bank statement. You cannot enter or amend the start date unless this is your first reconciliation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Statement End Date is different from the Statement Start Date and coincides with the end of your bank statement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resolution 2: Confirm that the account has truly been affected by transactions during this time<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select Financials, then Reports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select General Ledger, commonly known as Transactions by Account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>choosing the account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Start and Finish dates should be set to coincide with your bank reconciliation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the box next to Corrections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose OK.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run the Advanced Database Check if this report contains any transactions. Continue with article 40861 Performing an Advanced Database Check<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make that the Finish date on the General Ledger report is set to the Most Recent Transaction Date that is specified in Setup, Settings, Company, and Information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If there are no transactions on the report, this company file has no transactions for the given time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please check to see whether the transactions were recorded improperly, in the wrong business file, or were not entered at all.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resolution 3: Check that the accounts in the General Ledger report are valid<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Choose Reports, then Transaction Details or Journal Entries, and finally All.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose the proper year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the right Start Date and Finish Date for the Report<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select OK to Show Corrections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the accounts against the transactions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the transaction does not affect the AP or AR account but rather the account you are reconciling, you can change it to Cash or Cheque or utilize the Receipt or Payment module as appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resolution 4: If transactions were submitted while bank reconciliation was being performed<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the Save button in the Account Reconciliation box (Reconciliation &amp; Deposits).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shut off the Reconciliation &amp; Deposits window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reopen the Reconciliation &amp; Deposits window and check to see if the transactions are again visible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resolution 5: Missing transactions after completing bank reconciliation reset<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select Account Reconciliation Report under Reports, Banking, after the business has opened.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use a summary report with details on outstanding transactions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the Start date and Finish date to the Statement End date of the prior period that was reconciled after choosing the appropriate bank account. For instance, if you&#8217;re reconciling January 1 to January 31, use December 31 as the Report&#8217;s Start and Finish Dates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To save this report, choose to print it or open it in Excel after clicking OK to read the report.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the original company&#8217;s Account Reconciliation window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As soon as the account has been chosen, click the Add Prior Outstanding option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Restore the backup into a new business that was created before doing the bank reconciliation reset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"error-2-why-isnt-anything-showing-in-my-bank-reconciliation-window\"><\/span>Error 2: Why isn&#8217;t anything showing in my bank reconciliation window?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cause:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Misleading Statement Beginning Date or Statement End Date<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transactions have been registered as historical when in History mode, however Prior Outstanding has not yet been added.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resolution 1: Confirm the date<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check that Sage 50 has recorded the bank transaction on the appropriate date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The transaction date must be on the Statement or earlier. The bank rec module&#8217;s end date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option 2: If there are unfinished transactions from past months that have not yet been cleared<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Choose &#8220;Add Prior Outstanding&#8221; from the menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose \u201cShow Resolved Transaction On or After\u201d and enter the date of the earliest transaction to be included.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The list of transactions from the Resolve Transactions will appear when you tab to the following field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the Add button after choosing the transaction to be added.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are unable to locate a transaction that is still open, you can manually input the open transactions by selecting the Insert Outstanding button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Input OK.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The transactions that are still open and running will then appear in the Reconciliation &amp; Deposits window&#8217;s Transactions tab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resolution 3: Unless there is any unfinished business from the preceding months<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select &#8220;Add Prior Outstanding&#8221; from the menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Transactions tab of the Reconciliation &amp; Deposits window will display the most recent transactions when you click OK.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check to see if the Statement End Date is recorded with the correct currency if this is not your first bank reconciliation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"error-3-transactiondeposit-not-showing-in-account-reconciliation\"><\/span>Error 3: Transaction\/Deposit not showing in Account Reconciliation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resolution 1: Ascertain whether the transaction is damaged<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select Deposits or Receipts after choosing Lists, Customers &amp; The transaction&#8217;s date does not fall inside the reconciling window. The transaction was recorded against the incorrect bank account, or improper bank.
