Fixing Sage Corporation Tax Error 9288

This error is specific to a certain version of Sage accounting software. You can easily resolve this error by installing the latest updates released by Sage. Since this error was identified quite early, it has been fixed. Install all the latest updates for your version of Sage accounting software.

• First, the User needs to log in to Windows with Admin credentials.
• In Case you are using Windows 8.1, find the Programs and Features. Then click control panel>>start.
• If you are using Windows 10, right-click on the start menu, then click on >> Apps and Features.
• Now, choose the Sage 50 version you are using from the list.
• Then click on uninstall.
• After Uninstalling, download the updated version of Sage 50 and Payroll from the Sage 50 Product.
• Now, Install the updated version of Sage 50 and Payroll.
• Previously downloaded installation file present on your system, browse to C:\Sage\Sage 50 Accounting Installer files 202*.*
• To start the installation process you need to double-click on the launch .exe file, you will get a message like this –  
• Click on the Yes tab to continue.
• After continuing the Sage 50 Install shield wizard will come up.
• Click on Next to continue.
• Next, click on Install Sage 50.
• Select your language and click OK.
• After selecting your language, you will get a message asking if you want to go ahead with installation.
• Choose Yes.
• If Windows Firewall is enabled, you will get another message asking if you want the firewall automatically configured for the Sage 50 software.
• Choose Yes to proceed.
• Select your preferred installation types.
• In case you have already installed an older version of Sage 50:
  • The installer will automatically retrieve the activation codes, provided the computer is connected to the internet.
  • Click Next to continue.
  • Choose No Thanks if you require manual activation and want to enter your serial number yourself.
• Now, click to accept the terms & conditions of the license agreement.
• You will see a confirmation message after the installation is complete.
