    • Launch Sage 50 and go to Services.
    • Choose Check for Updates.
    • Select Check Now.
    • Click on Download.
    • Once the download completes, restart Sage 50.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation of Sage 50.
    • Go to the Sage 50 folder on the server.
    • Double-click on ClientInstall.bat.
    • Wait for the updates to be installed on all connected workstations.

  • In the Start menu’s search bar, type in Windows Defender Firewall. Then hit enter.
  • Choose Advanced Settings from the left panel.
  • Click on the Inbound Rules option that is given in the left pane.
  • Move your mouse to the right pane, and Choose New.
  • Select the radio button against Port, then click on Next.
  • Enter the specific Port numbers assigned to your version of Sage 50 accounting software, and then click on Next.
  • From the available options, choose the ratio button against Allow the connection, and then click on Next.
  • Choose Private as the Domain Option, and then choose Next.
  • Enter a descriptive name for the firewall rule, a word such as “Sage 50 accounting inbound.
  • Click on Finish.
    Note: these descriptive names help you to identify the custom rules that you create in the future.
  • Go through the same steps to create an Outbound Rule instead of an inbound rule.

Solution 4: Download and install the latest Sage Payroll update

Check version:

  • First, open the Sage 50 program
  • After that go to the help section and click on about
  • Then check your version in the program description.

How to download and install the latest version of Sage Payroll.

  • To download Sage Payroll, you have to go to the official website of Sage and click on download to download directly.
  • After that browse to your download folder and double-click on sagi50cloudparole_2703211.exe.
  • After that click on yes and then you have to click on license and agreement.
  • Then you have to find out whether this is the same path as you mentioned earlier, if it is then click on Yes.
