Total Time: 7 minutes

    Close Previous Print Window.

  2. Step Two

    • Click on Update & Security.

    • Choose Download & Install Updates.
    • Once the updates have been downloaded, restart your system so that Windows can install the updates.
  • Restart your system.
  • Log in to the system as administrator.
  • Configure the antivirus software installed in your system. (more on this later)
  • Exclude Sage 50 files while configuring.
  • Now you will have to restart your system again.

    • Type Sage 50 in the Start menu search bar.

  • Choose Advanced Settings from the left panel.
  • Click on the Inbound Rules option that is given in the left pane.
  • Move your mouse to the right pane, and Choose New.
  • Select the radio button against Port, then click on Next.
  • Enter the specific Port numbers assigned to your version of Sage 50 accounting software, and then click on Next.
  • From the available options, choose the ratio button against Allow the connection, and then click on Next.
  • Choose Private as the Domain Option, and then choose Next.
  • Enter a descriptive name for the firewall rule, a word such as “Sage 50 accounting inbound.
  • Click on Finish.
Note: these descriptive names help you to identify the custom rules that you create in the future.
  • Go through the same steps to create an Outbound Rule instead of an inbound rule.

Check version:

  • First, open the Sage 50 program

Resolve Error Server Busy

  1. Why is the Sage error server busy occurring even when the internet connection is active?

As was previously discussed in this post, Sage 50 may be unable to communicate with the server due to security software like Windows Firewall. Additionally, because the connection manager synchronizes information between the desktop and the server, you run the risk of experiencing server-related difficulties if it isn’t installed on the desktop and server computers.

  2. Can internet issues cause the Sage error server busy?

They can, yes. Your broadband connection must be active while viewing the corporate file from a computer since a connection to the server is required to access the data files. You don’t need an active internet connection to access your accounting data, though, if you’ve created a different connection with the server that is not dependent on the internet.

  3. Is there a tool available that can configure the Windows firewall to unblock Sage 50?

Although there isn’t a specific tool for this setting, Sage 50 setup may be used to set up a Windows Firewall. When installing Sage 50 or only the connection manager, you have the option of configuring Windows Firewall automatically. When this option is selected, the program configures the firewall as it installs any additional software components.
