  6. Choose the version of QuickBooks desktop you want to use the file in.
  7. Enter a new name for the company file.
  8. Click on Browse and select the location at which you want to store the company file.
  9. Review your preferences and click on Convert File.
  10. Once the QuickBooks Application Certificate window appears, select Yes each time.
  11. Click on Continue
  12. Once the conversion is finished, you’ll receive a confirmation message.

  1. Launch File Explorer
